This achievement underscores BYD's commitment to advancements in intelligent assisted driving.
Regulation (EU) 2021/1958 - Intelligent Speed Assistance System
Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) is designed to prompt and encourage drivers to reduce speed when the vehicle exceeds the speed limit. The system aids drivers by providing an assistive function to prevent accidents or reduce their severity.
The ISA tests encompass:
-
-
Perceived speed limit by observing explicit speed limit signs.
-
Perceived speed limit by observing implicit road signs and signals.
-
Speed limit determination in real-world conditions.
-
Speed limit warning function.
-
Speed control function.
-
For accurate speed limit determination in real driving conditions, tests must be conducted on:
-
- Urban roads and streets.
- Non-urban roads.
- Motorways/expressways/dual carriageways.
Each road type must represent at least 25% of the total route distance. The route must be continuous with identical starting and finishing points, without repeated sections counting towards the test distance. Testing must occur in both daylight and darkness, with darkness making up at least 15% of the total distance. The total test drive distance is 400 km. However, the test may conclude earlier if the distance exceeds 300 km and the performance 'TP_D' varies within ± 5.0% within the final 50 km of the route when calculated continuously.
QTICS played a crucial role in this project by providing expert oversight throughout the process. Hungary, the real-world driving reliability test was meticulously carried out under the supervision of QTICS certification experts, in collaboration with ATIC and BYD engineers, completing the process in just 3 days on public roads.
