The shareholder group of QTICS Automotive Zrt. – comprising QTICS Group, SAASCO Consulting and Engineering Office, and the QFD Group – has successfully acquired JÁFI-Autókut Kft., a company with nearly 75 years of professional heritage. This step marks a key milestone in a longer-term strategic development initiative aimed at establishing an automotive TIC (testing, inspection, certification) competence center, where industry stakeholders can access core testing, engineering, and certification services within a single professional ecosystem.
QTICS Automotive Zrt. has already offered a broad service portfolio. The acquisition of JÁFI-Autókut further strengthens this technical foundation and enables the expansion of competencies and capacities across several high-priority automotive domains, particularly in the following areas:
- Homologation and type approval testing
- Vehicle and component testing
- Brake, chassis, and emissions testing
- Vibration, durability, and crashworthiness testing
- Support for the approval of individually manufactured and series-production vehicles
- Comprehensive engineering and development-support services
The objective is clear: to build a service environment that allows automotive players to access all relevant testing, engineering, and compliance services quickly, transparently, and through a single point of contact.
TIC services play a critical role in the automotive industry. The combined framework of testing, inspection, and certification ensures the continuous improvement of manufacturing quality and safety, while in many countries certification is a fundamental prerequisite for automotive exports. This underscores the global significance of the sector.
The acquisition of JÁFI-Autókut goes far beyond a simple business transaction: it lays the groundwork for creating an automotive service hub that may become a major player both domestically and internationally in the long run.
